Our story
I’ve spent 30 years in boardrooms. I know exactly how much you hate writing minutes.
Not because you’re bad at your job. Because you’re doing seven other jobs and yet here you are, the day after every meeting, staring at your notes trying to remember what Simone said before the vote.
My name is Marci Cornell-Feist. I’ve worked with nearly 1,000 boards over 30 years: coaching executive directors holding everything together with a spreadsheet and sheer will, board secretaries handed a folder of old minutes and told “just do what she did,” and staff who are quietly drowning in work that was never in their job description.
The one thing I kept hearing? “I hate doing the minutes.”
So I wrote a book. Then I built something better.
I wrote Legal Minutes: A Concise Guide because I couldn’t find anything practical to hand the people I was coaching. They were grateful. They were also clear: they didn’t want to learn how to write minutes. They wanted the minutes done.
So I built Minutes Mojo—think TurboTax for board minutes. The structure, attendance, motions, votes, all baked in. You don’t have to know the rules. You just press record.
We built this for you. Because we are you.
Sara, our Chief Product Officer, is a software developer who also serves on nonprofit boards. We met when she was serving as the interim ED of a nonprofit board I served on. She didn’t just help build this, she needed it. That’s who’s building this for you.
Minutes Mojo is for the person at the small nonprofit who is also doing payroll, HR, donor relations, and somehow also the minutes. The volunteer who’d rather be writing grants. The HOA manager supporting 9 boards a month who needs accuracy even when meetings run until 10pm.
You do important work for organizations that matter. You deserve a tool built by people who get it.
You stay in control. We stay in touch.
Every set of minutes goes through your eyes before it goes anywhere else. You review, approve, send. And if you ever have a question, real humans answer—someone who knows your name.
